How to make more mindful decisions

I have got a simple and easy to implement mindfulness technique that might just make a difference for you.

When we think of mindfulness, often we associate it with meditation. But, it is more accessible than that. And, here is something I learnt from the wonderful Rob Dube, which you could start doing right now.

It is an approach to be more mindful in your decision making. And, in doing so, the likelihood is that you will achieve better results.

Mind - Heart - Gut.

Reflecting on those three words can help you make more thoughtful decisions.

Next time you make a decision. STOP. Notice which of these modes you are most in. Mind, Heart or Gut. Then, consider the same decision from the differing contexts.

If you are still in the same place, then good. Go for it.

If you are thinking differently. Congratulations. You are going to make a more thought-out decision.

Being mindful about your decisions doesn't mean they will always turn out right. But, it does allow you to improve the probability of that happening. And feel good about your approach, whatever the outcome.

Happy, mindful decision making!
